  • Deep Tissue massage is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia. This type of massage focuses on the muscles located below the surface of the top muscles. Deep tissue massage is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity, such as athletes, and patients who have sustained physical injury. Receivers of deep tissue massage may experience a new muscle ache for a day or two.  It is always suggested to drink plenty of water after a massage session.  When receiving deep tissue work it is important to communicate what you are feeling.
  • Neuromuscular Therapy consists of alternating levels of concentrated pressure on specific areas of muscle spasm. Preexisting injuries and even injuries that have long healed can still cause such muscle spasms. Neuromuscular Massage Therapy (NMT) can also help other problems that may cause pain such as Ischemia. Ischemia is a decreased blood supply, often found in areas of tightened muscles. Nerve entrapment or compression is another condition that causes pain, and is caused by pressure to the muscle by tightness. NMT can also help relieve pain and tightness due to things like postural or bio-mechanical problems in which imbalances in posture or the way we move cause pain. The massage therapy pressure is usually applied with the fingers, knuckles, or elbow.

  • tuningforkAcutonics® is a non-invasive treatment modality using precision-calibrated tuning forks representing a natural harmonic series based on the orbital properties of the Earth, Moon, Sun and planets which have a sympathetic resonance with the vibrational frequencies of our cells, organs, and body rhythms. They are placed on acupuncture points, chakras, or over the ears and body to affect change via vibration along the energetic meridian system. Other “instruments” are also a common adjunct to treatment, including Tibetan singing bowls, bells, chimes, and gongs.

A reflexologist stretches and moves the hands and feet, applying pressure on reflex areas that correspond to specific organs and other parts of the body. Endorphin’s are released throughout the entire body, reducing stress and returning the body to balance. Reflexology has been known to provide relief from ailments such as tension headaches, arthritis, digestive issues and back pain.
